Just five singles and a debut album in, and with her star firmly in the ascendant, Warwickshire songstress Lucy Rose is making her own destiny and shaping her future like no other new artist. Her heart-stoppingly poignant songs and cracked porcelain voice saw her enter 2012 with YouTube hits, radio plays and crowds like nobody else out there. Such is her fan base now that she sells out tours with ease.
Rose's journey began, when she hopped on a train to London, leaving behind the house in which she grew up in rural Warwickshire, and struck out for the big city and the big time. Armed with an acoustic guitar and an unstoppable dedication, Rose became that most modern of phenomena-she went viral.
Her critically acclaimed 2012 debut album Like I Used To was recorded in her family home with producer Charlie Hugall and truly embodied the very essence of her personality and honest approach to music and songwriting. Following the album release, Rose embarked on a huge tour schedule that saw her performing to vast crowds all around the world, firmly placing her amongst the most exciting female artists out there. With album number two on its way in 2014, there is very little holding her back as she makes her way to Mosaic Music Festival.
