Join jazz expert Sinclair Ang as he sheds some light on jazz and shares with you how to approach, understand and cultivate a deeper appreciation for jazz. This workshop will trace the development of jazz from its roots at the turn of the century to the modern day, with a special focus on the early jazz period from 1920s-1950s. Both the instrumentation and style of the different eras of jazz will be discussed. There will also be ‘live’ and recorded demonstrations, and a chance for audiences to participate in jazz-making
