Wires? Yes - sculptures can be made from a variety of materials and even from wires! This workshop will provide a good introduction to participants regarding the basic techniques and skills in wire sculpture. Participants will also acquire basic sculptural visual language of form and space through a series of presentation, demonstration and hands-on experience.

This workshop is open to all who have an interest in and want to express themselves through art.

Information on Trainer:
Madhvi Subrahmanian studied with Ray Meeker and Debora Smith at the Golden Bridge Pottery. She graduated with a MFA in Fine Arts at the Meadows School of the Arts, SMU. She studied with Peter Beasecker in Dallas, Texas. She also studied with various other artists like Val Cushing at Alfred University, William Daley at Haystack and Warren Mackenzie at Peters Valley. Madhvi has
also participated in several artists-in-residence programs - such as Watershed in Maine, USA and recently at The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in Shigaraki, Japan. She has shown in galleries all over the world and her works are in several private and public collections.
