Suspend disbelief for a day. Dive into a setting inspired by the heroes and villains of Eastern and Western pop-culture when International Cosplay Day Singapore (ICDS) returns this August.

Into it’s third year, ICDS 2014 will once again feature internationally acclaimed guests-of-honor, a gamut of pop-culture content and Singapore’s Annual Cosplay Chess stage show.

Following the success of ICDS in 2013, which saw almost 3,000 visitors attending the fan-driven cosplay & pop-culture convention at *SCAPE in Orchard Road, organizer Neo Tokyo Project has upped their game, and transformed this youth recreation and retail space into a one-day pop-culture playground happening 24 August 2014.

The convention expects to attract more than 5,000 pop-culture lovers from all walks of life this year, including anime fans, cosplay enthusiasts and gamers.

Guests-of-honor at ICDS this year will include one of the world’s few professional cosplayers and costume makers Kamui, and the sizzling hot Dat-Baka Cosplay, an Australian-based cosplayer best known for portraying characters from iconic fandoms.

Joining them is critically acclaimed photographer Jay Tablante. Jay has collaborated with D.C. and Marvel to produce some of the most iconic and daring images in comic book cosplay of all time, and will be exhibiting his work at ICDS for the third time.

ConQuest – a scavenger hunt that rewards convention goers for participating in fun-filled activities throughout the day – makes a return this year, bigger and better than ever! What’s more, convention visitors will stand a chance to actually BE a part of this year’s Chess performance.

So make a date with us this August. We promise that ICDS will be a day to remember!
