J.S. BACH St John Passion, BWV 245

The first of two surviving Passions composed by J.S. Bach, the St John Passion was written for Good Friday in 1724, and has gained increasing popularity as a masterpiece of astounding musical beauty depicting the arrest, trial, crucifixion and burial of Christ. For SSO's first-ever performance of this work, Lim Yau will be joined by the combined voices of the Singapore Symphony Chorus, Singapore Bible College Chorale, Hallelujah Chorus, The NAFA Choir and The Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
