This year’s theme, as part of the SG50 celebrations, is “Smart Living – Using Data To Enrich Communities”. Cash prizes and cool technology gadgets are up for grabs for the winning teams.

Open Category: 24-hour Hackathon for all ages and backgrounds (sub-categories: Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges). Register by 15 June, 2014.

Junior Category: 3-hour finale for ages 12 and below. Register by 25 June, 2014.

Competition Details:
Participants have 24 hours to create a solution using Raspberry Pi or Arduino Uno, single board computers, which will be provided to them during the competition (18 July, 2014). The solution must solve a set of challenges that will only be released on the Hackathon day itself and will be closely tied to the theme. Junior Category competitors will be using Chibitronics, programmable electronic stickers, based on a challenge released on the day itself (19 July, 2014).

Training sessions will be held for those who want to learn about the development tools and platforms. See website for more details.
