Liszr Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major
Suk Symphony No. 2 in C minor, Op. 27 'Asrael'
"I was saved by music," wrote Czech composer Josef Suk of his Asrael Symphony, a work born out of the loss of his teacher and father-in-law, Antonin Dvorak, in 1904, and of his wife in 1905. The concert also features Nikolai Demidenko in Liszt's thrilling First Piano Concerto.
