Buds Theatre’s Byt Programme presents ‘Traffic Jam’, aspires to entertain, illuminate and challenge.

A double-bill production, written by youths, acted by youths and directed by the young at heart!

PLAY SYNOPSIS

1. No Leeway by Nicholas Tan
A naturalistic and humorous play depicting a family struggling to stay together despite their wayward father.

2. Post-traffic Barrier by Lu Huiyi
A coming-of-age tale in which a girl recounts her struggle for acceptance and survival.

Both plays were written by youths under the guidance and mentorship of Checkpoint Theatre’s Artistic Director Huzir Sulaiman. The plays discuss issues that are familiar and will resonate with Singaporeans.

Members of the public of any age and background will be able to relate to the struggles and triumphs within the plays.

It will be an enriching experience for all!
