Three Children
Director: Luke Kwek
Writer: Leow Puay Tin
Cast: Ling Poh Fong, Darren Guo, Rosemary Chan and Mark Cheng
Join us as we follow three siblings on their journey into memories of their childhood in Kappan Road, Malacca. The tangled web of relationships they navigate is confounding at first, but as the threads unravel, we discern the powerful but subtle effects of lives upon lives.
Like the people of Kappan Road, the three children are ordinary and poor, yet they find ways to survive their human sufferings, and surrender only to death.
Hokkien Me
Director: Luke Kwek
Writer: Ovidia Yu
Cast: Sophie Khoo
In Hokkien Me, we meet a young Cantonese working girl who marries into a rich Hokkien family. Her mother-in-law disapproves at first, but when disaster strikes, the young wife proves her mettle, eventually inheriting not just respect, but also the family’s prized recipe for Hokkien mee. Life, as she tells us, is like Hokkien mee. You put in all the right ingredients, but the resulting dish may surprise you…
