Azariah Tan graduated from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (National University of Singapore) under the tutelage of Albert Tiu, with first-class honours and the NUSS Medal for Outstanding All-round Achievement 2011. He proceeded on to graduate studies under full scholarship at the University of Michigan with Logan Skelton (Piano Performance) and Christopher Harding (Chamber Music), and now returns home with double Master degrees in Music.

He was a National Arts Council-Conservatory scholar, one of Singapore’s President’s Young Performers and recipient of the Students Achievement Award for outstanding achievement in Arts & Culture 2009. This year, Azariah was named the “Laureate” of the 2013 International Piano Competition of the World Piano Teachers Association in the Concerto category, and won three awards at the American Prize 2012.

He has performed with the Singapore Symphony and Silesian Philharmonic (Poland) Orchestras and given concerts in USA, Japan, Serbia and Montenegro. Azariah feels deep gratitude for the opportunities that life has offered him and he gives back by performing at events to raise funds for voluntary welfare organizations such as ChildAid, SADeaf, VSA Singapore, the Children’s Cancer Foundation, the Community Chest and the Singapore General Hospital Music Therapy Department.
