Australian jazz trumpeter and vocalist Adam Hall will be swinging his way to Singapore in December to play alongside renowned Singaporean jazz musicians Kerong Chok, Wei Xiang and Jonathan Ho.

Having completed a residency at Singapore’s Southbridge Jazz Club in 2004, Hall is returning for the first time since 2011 when he performed at Blujaz, the Big Easy Jazz & Blues Bar, Southbridge Jazz @ 7atenine and B28.

Hall will be teaming up with home-grown talent Kerong Chok and Australian drummer Joe Whittle for two gigs at the Sultan Jazz Club and Barber Shop on 12 and 13 December, respectively. Chok, a Singaporean jazz sensation, is a graduate of the distinguished Manhattan School of Music and has played alongside jazz musicians including Frank Wess, Steve Wilson and John Riley.

The Adam Hall Quartet will take to the stage at the Sultan Jazz Club on 14 December, featuring Singaporean bassist Jonathan Ho and pianist Wei Xiang. Wei Xiang has performed with countless Grammy Award winners, including Joe Lovano, Stanley Jordan and Brian Lynch.

Rounding off his tour, Adam Hall will join Singaporean jazz luminary Jeremy Monteiro for ‘Merry Bebop – a Jazzy Christmas with Jeremy Monteiro & Friends’. Now in its ninth year, the show will feature Monteiro and guest musicians including Adam Hall, American vocalist Nancy Kelly, British saxophonist Alan Barnes, Hungarian saxophonist Tony Lakatos and Singapore's own Louis Soliano.

Throughout 2013, Hall has been touring with the Richard Jackson Trio (Singapore) and recorded two new albums, When It’s Party Time Down South and It’s You It’s Me, at Singapore’s famous Lion Studios. He recently concluded a European tour as part of the Winter Festival series, playing to full houses in Spain, Germany France, Sweden and Austria.
