Documentarian Stephanie Soetchtig makes a stunning debut with this inquisitive address to the questions yielded by the big business of bottled water. Is clean drinking water an inalienable right, or is it a privilege like every other commodity? Tapped looks into the industry and its long term effects socially, economically and ecologically. It focuses on industry giants such as Nestlé Waters, visiting a town that Nestlé contains a factory in and examines tests the company uses. Their results came back showing "several potentially harmful chemicals, some known carcinogens". Tapped notes that "Forty percent of bottled water is really just filtered tap water, and every day we throw away 30 million single-served bottles of water.

Enjoy Complimentary Screening by making a $15++ food/beverage purchase at the Theatre bar.
