A panel of distinguished parenting experts such as Mr Steve Saso, Chief Executive Officer, Saso Seminar & Counselling Services, will share how you can communicate effectively and manage conflict with your teens. Six different sessions will be held throughout the day, with English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil Speakers.

Speaker Profiles:

English Speaker – Steve Saso

Mr Steve Saso, M.Div., draws upon his thirty-six years of experience as a high school teacher and administrator to empower parents to build influential relationships with kids. Steve brings practical insights, enthusiasm, and a uniquely refreshing sense of humour to every seminar. Steve, and his wife, Patt are owners of Saso Seminars, an inspirational organization committed to providing parents with the tools they need to raise successful children.

English Speaker – Iris Lin

Ms Iris Lin has been actively involved in youth programs and has strong ground experience working with youths, delinquents and their families ever since she joined Fei Yue Community Services. Iris heads the Youth Division in Fei Yue and is an experienced facilitator for group work and workshops.

Mandarin Speaker – Leng Chin Fai

Mr Leng Chin Fai is the Director of Fei Yue Community Services and Family Service Centre. A much sought after speaker, trainer, media spokesperson and expert counsellor, he has done extensive outreach to commercial companies, government ministries, statutory boards, MNCs, churches, community groups, schools and social service agencies.

Malay Speaker - Haji Md Yusof Ismail

Mr Haji Md Yusof Ismail is a veteran certified counsellor and life-skills trainer. He frequently conducts workshops for teenage probationers and their parents for the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Probation Services Branch. He also conducts workshops, seminars and leadership camps for youths both locally and internationally, focusing on behaviour-shaping tools and character development components.

Tamil Speakers - Bamah Balakkrishnan and Sivakumar Palakrishnan

Mrs Bamah Balakkrishnan is an executive producer-presenter in MediaCorp Oli 96.8FM. She has created a name for herself amongst the Singaporean Indian public by speaking and creating awareness about social issues faced by the community.

Mr Sivakumar Palakrishnan has been in the media industry both as an Actor and as a Director for the past 11 years. He has also acted in 2 feature films both in Singapore and in India. The characters he has played all these years have a purpose to motivate the youngsters to understand the outcome by playing mainly the negative roles.
