Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Producer, Photographer, Music Video Director – multi-talented Penny Tai declares her graduation project, her latest album titled “Unexpected” after 10 years in the music industry. Fresh from her victory at the Global Chinese Music Awards 2014, winning Best Female Vocals, Top 5 Most Popular Female Artists and Golden Hit Awards, Penny is finally bring her brand of music to Singapore.

From a Malaysian high school student who was focused to becoming a full time contemporary dancer, the path then led Penny to be signed to Taiwan music label and releasing total 11 albums in 10 years, all these are “Unexpected” to Penny herself, hence the album to title. A self-taught songwriter and musician, Penny’s started her brand of music with folk/rock/pop base and over the years, her music have eclectically infused reggae, blues, etc.; that made her music truly hers, distinguished from the rest. Penny went on to win one of the most prestigious Chinese music award; Best Song from the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards.

For the very first time, Penny is leading her all-star live band of top musicians to Singapore. Catch her live, delivering her brand of critically acclaimed music and showmanship on stage at Penny Tai “Unexpected” Live in Singapore 2013 on Friday, 27 December 2013 at 8:30pm at Esplanade Concert Hall.
