About PechKucha Night
PechaKucha Night was devised in February 2003 by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Tokyo's Klein-Dytham Architecture (KDa) and quickly spread around the world. As of January 2013, PechaKucha Nights were being held in more than 600 cities worldwide.
PechaKucha (Japanese for chit-chat) uses a unique 20x20 presentation and discussion format. Speakers use only 20 images and have only 20 seconds per image - six minutes 40 seconds in total, keeping things lively.

The Singapore chapter of PechaKucha Night has been established by American creative director Jon Siegel and his Japanese wife, entrepreneur Waki Yoneoka. They have setup the chapter to contribute to and grow the community through inspirational talks from leaders and innovators from various industries. Speakers come from diverse backgrounds, including businesspeople, entrepreneurs, photographers, designers, writers, idea innovators, comedians, musicians and scientists. PechaKucha Night Singapore presents a cross section of Singapore, showing how remarkable this country and its people are, and introducing audiences to new ideas and insights that might otherwise remain hidden.
