Discover the joy of movement and fall in love with dance through the festival's Footwork workshops. Conducted by professional instructors, these basic workshops are designed for youth, adults and senior citizens with little or no experience in dance.

Tango Nuevo, Nuevo Tango, Neotango or simply Nuevo (new tango) can describe either a form of music or a style of tango dance that began to develop in the 1980s. It developed as a result of instructors who wanted to create a method which allowed the dancer to 'construct' their own tango via a personal interpretation. This method emphasized natural, fluid and spontaneous movements over memorized sequences. Personal experimentation and creativity are a big part of Nuevo, and is typically danced in a more open embrace, leaving the legs more room to explore the space around the partner. Instructor Wai Chung, with his patient and concise teaching style will help you to master Tango at your own pace, and you need not worry about having two left feet.
