About We The Thousands

We The Thousands are:
Bryan de Silva - Drums
Dhany Osman - Bass
Lewis Lee - Lead guitars
Jonathan Yip - Vocals, guitars

“Heartfelt”, “energetic” and “passionate” are just a few words to describe a We The Thousands live show.

With Lewis’ crushing guitars, Yip’s emotional lyrics, Dhany and Bryan’s tight basslines and thundering drums, the rock quartet from Singapore has realeased their musical offering Would You Kindly.

Recorded at Inversion Studios (Singapore) with producer Cedric Chew, the 5 track EP was released on August 19th 2011 at the annual Baybeats regional music festival in Singapore.

We The Thousands were 1 of 9 up and coming bands, along with invited acts, to rock the Esplanade grounds performing and sharing the Powerhouse stage with bands like Buddhiston, Wolfgang and Ossuary.

Other venues the quartet have performed are Home Club, Scape, Hard Rock Cafe (Battle Of The Bands finals), and helped raise SGD$30,000 at the Heart Rock benefit for the victims of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami.

In support of Would You Kindly, the band is in post-production for 2 music videos, The Reliant and Ground Zero Affair to be released by end 2011.

2012 is shaping up to be another busy year for them, as they release 2 more music videos to support Would You Kindly, as well as tour Asia.

Always hungry to create, the band is already writing new material for their currently untitled new release.
About Hood Saturday Original Sessions
The return of the Saturdays Originals Session will see a plethora of undiscovered gems in the local indie scene as they belt out their original tunes and compositions for an hour at the outlet.

Hood Bar and Café has long been recognised as the ideal venue for local music, as evidenced in their décor, which reflected a rather quirky atmosphere – seen also in their Facebook photo albums. With a wall mural that showcases a mix of Western and Eastern icons, while also throwing in characters and peculiar-looking creatures that can only be inspired by local artists, the scene in Hood can be described as truly electrifying. Through the aid of JBL’s local distributor, Mahajak SKM Electronics, the cosy bar was transformed into a music hall with full-scaled concert-ready system.

It is Hood Bar and Café's long-term aim to raise awareness of local talents who with original music and content, and also allow the world a chance to see, hear and experience the original works of Singapore's original bands. Hood believes the journey for the unearthing of Singapore has just begun.
