The inaugural Happy Feet Slipper Race attracted more that 1,800 participants last year and raised over $107,000 for children beneficiaries in Singapore. This year, they are hoping to raise $250,000 and you can help to make it happen. Inspired by underprivileged children in Cambodia who barely have any footwear, participants will be taking on a 3km route at East Coast Park in slippers.

Project Happy Feet is a Singapore-based not-for-profit organisation set up since 2009 to empower the lives of underprivileged youths and children in developing countries by supporting their education and training through fund-raising for education-related initiatives and programmes that positively impact them or their families. To date, Project Happy Feet has raised more than SGD 300,000 through its fund raising initiatives such as Chefs for a Cause in 2009, the Project Happy Feet Slipper Race in 2001 and supported more than 4,000 children and youth in Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Nepal through its programmes.
