Dance for Nothing was first presented as a draft by Salamon at TheatreWorks’ Flying Circus Project in 2010 at 72-13. Following that, it was performed in Berlin at the festival Tanz im August in the same year.
Inspired by John Cage’s Lecture on Nothing, the performance is a recitation and physical improvisation of Cage’s text guided by his principles of composition and writing. The idea of using music done by words and performing a parallel action as another temporality follows the desire for interaction with the non-interference.
