Blue Note

Blue Note Tokyo, opened in 1988, gathered Japan’s first call jazz musicians under the name of “All- Star Jazz Orchestra” directed by Eric Miyashiro.

Eric Miyashiro was born in Hawaii and has been internationally experienced his professional career with Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Tower of Power and more.

The Orchestra’s first performance welcomed Arturo Sandoval as a guest at Blue Note Tokyo and it brought a massive impression to the audiences and also Arturo himself made to say “Wishing touring all over the world with this orchestra”.

Also the orchestra has premiered their world debut at the famed Montreux Jazz Festival in 2014 which certainly took the crowd to a musical journey with high level of excitement.

It is promised to amuse those who have seen many of greatest performance in the festival give another jazz experience by the first class musicians from far east – Japan.
