The Embassy of France in Singapore and the French Alumni Singapore present the France Alumni Singapore Lecture Series delivered by eminent personalities in Singapore who studied in France. The series puts the spotlight on how an overseas education, notably in France, has influenced their career paths. The speaker, Imran Hashim, studied French at the National University of Singapore and was then awarded a French Government Scholarship to pursue his postgraduate studies in Political Sciences at the Sorbonne and Sciences Po in Paris. Apart from providing the inspiration for his first novel, Annabelle Thong (2016), his time in Paris was also a period of self-discovery. He is currently a student recruitment professional. Prior to this, Imran Hashim held positions with an international focus in various organisations, including Temasek Foundation, Singapore International Foundation and Singapore Tourism Board. The lecture is moderated by Charlene Tan, Editor at CNA Digital, and hosted by Sylvie Kwok, Senior Member of Technical Staff at DSO National Laboratories
