Reading to Children to Cultivate Inclusive Values

Join us for this special talk by Fernando M. Reimers, renowned educator and author of the children’s book series, The Adventures of Filomena.

Prof Reimers will highlight the importance of conversations across generations to cultivate values, and to foster children’s ethical development. He will introduce his books from The Adventures of Filomena series and explain how the various elements are designed to support such intergenerational conversations. The author will also show how the books have been used around the world to foster foreign language appreciation.

This talk will be of interest to parents, grandparents, teachers, school leaders and others interested in fostering developmentally constructive relationships among children and families.
