Peer Pleasure Festival – Experiential Workshop on Poverty

Facilitated by: Social Workers from AMKFSC Community Services.

This workshop will look at some of the key issues behind poverty and inequality in Singapore, through unpacking the knowledge and attitudes young people have regarding these issues, and persons living in poverty.

Through interactive games and dialogues, youths will walk a short distance in the shoes of different persons living in poverty, interact with formal systems and be faced with real-life choices and challenges.

Facilitated by social workers, this workshop is an opportunity for young people to gain a deeper understanding of poverty, to humanise the issue and reflect on our response.

Suitable for participants between the ages of 13–19 years old.
