Atmos is proud to present Tropos 3.0 featuring Lust (MY), Narcloudia (PH), and Singaporean acts Spacedays and Subsonic Eye this 30 July 2016 at The Analog Factory's new space at Scape.
Post-Punk / Rock / Pop
"Malaysia's Lust certainly takes cues from different sources, but just like the album cover (which seems like an obvious nod to Battles' La Di Da Di), chingichanga is a colourful, offbeat debut, brimming with personality from a band we know little about.
At once conjuring a psychedelic freak out on the appropriately-titled 'Psychokillah', while sorting out freakish melodies all over the first three tracks, smothering them in deranged pop structures, and ending off with a groovy and euphoric closer in 'Clapsong', chingichanga pulls out many surprises throughout its 22-minute runtime." Daniel Peters, Bandwagon SG.
Founded in 2013, the band members consists of Faris Khairi, Azfar Abu Bakar, Nazrin Yusnaidi and Anaqi Jamalluddin.
Psychedelic Groove Rock, Neo-Psychedelia, Garage Rock
Spacedays is a psychedelic rock band from Singapore. Since 2009, the band primarily draws inspiration from their motto, “Some days we just need some space to reflect”.
The band explores their self- proclaimed ‘psychedelic groove rock’ characterized by a guitar- driven sonic space complemented by the cosmic upper registers of the keyboards.
Formed in 2009, Spacedays is Bud, Mamat, Hanis, Akid, Zaki.
Dreampop / Darkwave
"We write songs of triumphs and despairs, of fiction and not, of dreams made of quarter moons and Sandman’s dust".
Narcloudia is an indie dreampop trio conceived in 2012 by Beatriz Alcala (vocals, guitars, synth), Karla Pundaodaya (drums, vocals) and Vhop Pascua (bass). Our songs loom with dreamy soundscapes brooding over melancholia, madness and child’s play.
Subsonic Eye (SG)
Lo-Fi / Dream Pop / Shoegaze / Phasercore
Subsonic Eye is an alternative dream pop band from the hazy and rainy Singapore. Our music consists of catchy guitars, dreamy-esque vocals, and angsty lyrics with too much reverb that we're not sorry for.
“Turning out a four-track EP that disconnects themselves from most of the output of Singapore's indie music scene, Subsonic Eye wields pop melodies with restraint and embraces passages that drone on instead of build.” - Bandwagon
