An activity that even seniors can enjoy, Tea Dances for Shakespeare features poetic gestural movement motifs inspired by sonnets. Participants will learn some whimsical and poetic hand gestures and upper torso movements while seated on designer-chairs. This short learning session will lead right into an on-the-spot public performance. A quartet will play Baroque music to transport participants from the mundane everyday into the magical realm of antiquity where dancing is practiced as common as social greetings.
