Power to the people! This National Day, *SCAPE will roll out a series of activities and events, celebrating everything local. From an artist fair and a Makers workshop, to a specially curated marketplace with open mike performances — you're in for a treat this National Day weekend!
An extended version of our weekly Marketplace, youths can expect to see specially curated booths such as Uncle G’s Handmade (crispy roast pork), Shan’s Addiction (Yam abacus seeds, chilli sauces and special sauces), and Spinacas (salads) on Saturday, 6 August and Sunday, 7 August. ComCrop, Singapore’s first rooftop farm and Singapore Young Farmers will also be down to tell us more about urban farming, food security, resilience and diversity on 6 August.

Anyone who is interested to showcase their talents can take the stage at our open mike session on Saturday, 6 August, together with established acts like Charlie Lim and The Summer State, as well as SHINE x *SCAPE Talent Development Programme mentees bittymacbeth, Jean Tan and A S M B L Y. The invited artistes will also be holding a meet-and-greet sessions at the newly launched DBS *SCAPE branch.
Starving Artist Fair
The bi-monthly carnival of independent comics, illustration, toys, talks and workshops is back at *SCAPE! Local artists and creators will be selling their original comics, artworks, merchandise and toys. Those with avid interests in comics, drawing and storytelling can also attend talks and workshops conducted to improve their skills.
Meet Your Maker(s)
Apart from supporting our local youth entrepreneurs, youths can also get crafty and try their hand at making unique and personalised handmade items at our Makers workshops. Choose from a range of crafts, from dreamcatchers, finger puppets, to adorable owl bag charms and more!
We Are Majulah / We Never Say Die
We are Majulah is a rally to Singaporeans to debate and solidify her citizen’s national identity, and reflect on what it means to be a Singaporean. On Saturday, 6 August, the We Are Majulah movement will kick start its first on-ground initiative with the aim of cementing the Singapore identity, and encourage youths to be part of the big movement.
