Each ticket admits two persons: a child (above age 5) and a parent/guardian. Maximum capacity for this session is 15 pairs.
Participants will get a chance to get creative with recycled bicycle chains. They will manipulate chain pins to create unique designs, as well as learn how to rustproof and polish old chains to give their end product an added sparkle. Materials will be provided for this workshop and participants will get to bring their creations home.
About the speaker:
Bikes4fun, a local bicycle enthusiasts collective, works its magic on old bicycles, turning them into new inventions. Comprising architecture and engineering professionals, the team boasts a collection of over 50 bicycle contraptions, which have toured more than 60 schools, as well as local and international (New Zealand) events. The collective is committed to engaging youths to get them outdoors and spur their interest in cycling.
Cost per pair is inclusive of $3 SISTIC fees.
