Supported by National Arts Council, Re:joy is an art exhibition organised by Very Special Arts Singapore to showcase artworks by artists with disabilities. With more than 100 pieces of paintings being exhibited over 5 days, the event is also known as the largest platform for people with special needs to achieve financial independence through art making. The artists featured in the show are of age 21 and above and have different types of disabilities; from mental, to physical, to sensory.
Ultimately, Very Special Arts aims to, through this exhibition, create awareness about the inclusion of people with disabilities, to show the public that artists with disabilities are capable of creating fine art, and to help people with disabilities to gain livelihood via the sales of their artwork.
The opening ceremony is on 19 October (Wednesday), from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The exhibition officially starts on 20 October (Thursday), running until 23 October (Sunday), and is open from 10am to 10pm.
Members of the public are welcome to purchase any of the artworks available.
