An exciting collaboration with Jack’s Place sealed with the first Masterclass and Gourmet Table Dinner Event - The Unique Pairing of Beef and Coffee, helmed by Ironman Chef Heman Tan.
Local Food & Beverage (F&B) trade professionals enjoy a $30 subsidy for this event. Throughout this 4-course dining experience, learn how different coffee blends complement with different types of dishes. Start with a delicacy of starter, NZ Minced Beef Side Muscle and Mozzarella Ball, Black Olive Creamy Cheese Ball, accompanied with Pineapple Salsa and Mesclun Salad.
Pair this with a cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, from Ethiopia, a delightfully floral yet slightly citrusy coffee with hints of ginger. This is tea-like and easy for drinking, to prepare the palate for the upcoming dishes.
Next up is Beef Consommé, accompanied with golden egg custard, black caviar and seasonal vegetable. This goes well with Brazil Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza, a classic Brazil natural coffee that engages the tastebuds with distinct nuttiness, stonefruits, good body and sweetness.
Look forward to the main course, The Naturel Farm NZ Beef Eye Fillet. Expect a Pan-Grilled Jack’s Beef Eye Fillet Steak served with Potatoes Mousseline, Sauté Asparagus, Heart of Palm, Beetroot and Baby Carrot with Merlot Demi-Glace. Pair this with Indonesian Aceh Gayo, a semi-washed coffee that is robust in flavours, strong body, low acidity and a dry finish.
End the meal with Yogurt curds with Mango, Yuzu and Pomelo Chilled Soup and Panama Lerida Estate, a natural processed coffee full of tropical fruit flavours, which is sweet and have a long aftertaste.
