Enjoy the best of both worlds as two major components of Voilah! – culture and food come together in a magical experience during the opening weekend.
The Open String Quartet is led by Amaury Coeytaux, super-soloist of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Hailed by The Strad as an “exceptionally sensitive and poetic” musician, Amaury Coeytaux enjoys an international career as a highly-acclaimed soloist, performing extensively across the world in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. The Ensemble comprises four musicians - Amaury Coeytaux (violin), Guillaume Latour (violin), Jakob Kullberg (cello) and Tomoko Akasaka (viola) - who have international solo careers as concerto soloists, and with a keen interest in chamber music and an in-depth approach to playing in an ensemble.
The evening will be opened by the Franco-Chinese master Marianne Yi's martial arts performance on French music. The Tropical Orchids exhibition by Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle (Paris) will also open that day at the gates of Singapore Botanic Gardens.
This event is part of Voilah! French Festival Singapore 2016.
