"A contemporary play about real women."
They call them Wushu warriors for a reason - but Chloe fights against so much more in this stereotypically "male" sport. Daniel, her brother, seems to have it easy, but he too has battles of his own. Meanwhile, he navigates the world of interracial dating with Iman, who is caught between her aspirations and her roots.
An original play inspired by crowdsourced stories, Every Singaporean Daughter tells the untold story of gender as young Singaporeans experience it, asking "Do we always have to classify people to understand them?" Follow these young people as they struggle to balance expectations from family and society with their modern ambitions, and explore what it means to be a Singaporean daughter.
