Buds Theatre opens its In-house series with new works written by youth writers Wisely Chow and Narisha Ibrahim.
Hold On by Wisely Chow - Rebecca Lee & Stanley Seah
David, divorced, living in Singapore. His sister Sarah, single, living in Perth. Seperated by choice, connected through technology. A deeply evocative play dealing with the theme of loneliness and isolation.
The Heart is Only a Muscle by Narisha Ibrahim - Rebecca Lee & Sahirrah Safit
The pianist and her heart are at odds over a complicated love affair. This play addresses the painful stages of bereavement.
Hosted at The Playtent, the aim of the In-house series is to make theatre accessible to all. By charging affordable prices, we are able to share new works, expose new talents and create new audiences.
Using drama as a vehicle for change, we look to empower and invest in our audiences, to alter mindsets and create an empathetic community voice.
