The Philharmonic Chamber Winds presents its 3rd Concert, 'Art of Harmoniemusik.'
There is such an embarrassment of riches in the Wind Chamber Repertory treasure box that deserves to be heard and we bring to you another small selection!
Krommer's Octet-Partita in Eb, op 79 reflects growing virtuosity among Wind players during the time who are playing on instruments that are continually being developed to cope with more notes per bar!
Singaporean Oboist Seow Yibin then takes centre-stage in Weber's delightful gem of a work in his Concertino for Oboe and Winds.
French-based Malaysian Composer Issac Chia's 'Joget Pahang' is a Malay Folk dance which had influences from Portugal. Come listen to the World premiere of this hypnotic number!
We end off with Wilhelm Berger's Serenade in F, op 102. A 5-movement work that is reverberant with weaving tapestries of Richard Strauss and hues of Mendelssohn thrown in.
See you there!
