The Intimate Shakespeare: 74 Ways to Die

The Complete works of William Shakespeare contains 74 deaths, from a minor fly, to being baked in a pie, to being chased by a bear. In this workshop, you will explore and reenact a few of these untimely ends of timeless characters.

Rehearse and perform a variety of plays from Titus Andronicus, to Hamlet, Macbeth, Julius Ceasar and many more as the workshop culminates in a weekend performance of a devised show created by these scenes. Students are entitled to a percentage of box office profits.
This workshop is open to everyone from all backgrounds.

Great work takes great preparation.

To make your scene come alive on stage, you need a method of preparation that is both organic and efficient. Using a Strasberg-based approach, Scene Study equips you with tools to analyse, rehearse and perform scenes compellingly. Each scene will be carefully selected and assigned to suit and challenge your conventional character types.

Our instructor, Kamil, will work with every student to hone every scene to its best. To register, please submit a statement of intent for joining the class.

How can we free ourselves from feeling self-conscious? How can we rid ourselves from unnecessary tension?
Strasberg-trained actors are more in control of their mental, physical and emotional capabilities. They understand life. They express themselves better.

Acting is the art of being private in public.
The next stage of training in Strasberg’s Method empowers you to be vulnerable and honest on stage. Learn to create powerful and stirring performances using private moments, explore emotional memory, and dig deeper into Strasberg’s practice of relaxation.
HCAC is the only school in Asia that teaches Strasberg’s work in its entirety. You will receive personalized feedback to deepen your understanding of the craft. This workshop is open to people from all backgrounds.

The Many Faces of Improv Arnaud Pierre Thursdays,

Be anything you want to be.
Improvisation is freeing, but it takes practice to let go of your inhibitions and self-consciousness when performing.
Learn a variety of techniques from the founders of improvisation theatre, as we explore the likes of Del Close and Spolin. These are tools to help you find your confidence and creativity on stage. And, at the end of it, you will seize the stage and tell stories, fearlessly – and freely – in front of an audience.
