The Incredible Adventures of Border Crossers, a performance created by Festival Director, Ong Keng Sen, will bring this year’s Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) to a spectacular close by offering audiences two unique ways to experience this unprecedented presentation.
Commissioned for the opening of the Singapour en France – le festival at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in March 2015, the live performance of this show will be at the National Museum of Singapore on 17, 18, 19 September 2015 from 6.30pm to 11.40pm. In addition, acclaimed visual artist Francis Ng had archived the inaugural performance in Paris on film, and will be presenting it through eight projections concurrently at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.
Audiences attending the live form of the show on 17, 18 and 19 September at the National Museum of Singapore will be entitled to view the film installation at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to experience the context and further deepen their experience of this durational production in Paris that featured 19 real-life border crossers, all non-performers living in Singapore, from 18 countries of origin.
