Children from 6 months to 9 years old can look forward to kicking-off the upcoming year-end holidays with nature-inspired programmes at Chengzhu Mandarin Centre, which have been thoughtfully designed to help develop children’s interest and appreciation of the Chinese language.

Held from 30th November to 4th December 2015, these fun-filled holiday programmes bring Mandarin to life through storytelling, interactive activities, art and craft, music and movement, sensorial games and meaningful cultural experiences. Aimed at building strong foundations and confidence in Mandarin, they encourage independent behaviour and thinking, and inspire a fun, effortless and enjoyable approach to Mandarin.

Singers of the Forest (6 to 18 months)
Explore the sounds of nature and the songs of birds and insects while gaining early exposure to the world of Mandarin through engaging stories, art and craft activities, games and creative play. This adult-accompanied PlayNest programme lays the right foundations for confident and successful language learning in a warm, loving and richly stimulating environment for children and their caregivers.

Time: 9.00am – 10.30am / 11.00am – 12.30pm / 1.00pm – 2.30pm

Happiness in the Sun (1½ to 3 years)
Join Little Rabbit and Little Monkey on their beach adventure and discover the joys of sun, sand and sea, while cultivating a delight in Mandarin. Specially designed to help children understand and grasp what they see, hear and experience effectively, this PlayClub holiday programme will also see teachers working closely with caregivers to further their understanding of their child’s needs and abilities as they develop language and motor skills through interesting stories, drama and art and craft activities.

Ants Marching in Line (Nursery 1 and 2)
Follow a colony of ants and the adventures they encounter as they leave their nest in pursuit of the sweet and fragrant smell of food. This Chinese Cultural Arts holiday programme helps children develop their ability to express themselves in Mandarin through various Chinese art forms incorporating nursery rhymes, music and movement.

The Little Stream (Nursery 1)
Discover the secrets behind the sounds of the little stream and the happy songs it sings through sensorial games, stories, art and craft, science, math and drama activities. Recreational Sports (Nursery 2)
Take advantage of this Little Pandas holiday programme to explore the world of recreational sports from ball games and cycling to swimming and mountain climbing while absorbing the use of Mandarin language. Children will engage in role-playing, reading, creative art and craft, mathematics and sensorial games in this Little Pandas holiday programme, which includes a field trip where children will have the opportunity to experience fishing in a naturalistic environment.
