Gone are the days where hardcover paperbacks and glossy illustration covers denoting a reader’s passion. Today, apps and tablets are gradually ascending as the “new book”! But print still has its own base of fans. To bridge the legacy, Ebury Bridge Arts and three of its artists are back this year and happy to build a book maze to “rekindle” the relationship. During the exhibition, visitors are encouraged to smell the books, fall in love with them and most importantly, take them home!
This exhibition is part of Tan Tock Seng’s Art of Healing programme. This is an initiative that aims to use the arts as a form of therapy to soothe patients’ mind and body and help them on their path to recovery. Through the arts, the hospital will be transformed to a warm, welcoming and enriching environment for patients, families, staff and visitors.
The artists’ showcase is available for sale from SGD250.00 onwards. 10% of the sale goes to Tan Tock Seng Community Fund.
