In a blink of an eye, its already October 2015 and getting close to the end of the year. This is usually a period where investors are looking forward to the famed Santa Claus Rally for worldwide markets that usually begins in November and ends in January of the next year.
Some of the recent news in the past week that would add boosting power to the year end rally :
1) Further stimulus measures from ECB to the already existing QE in Europe. This was hinted by Draghi just a few days ago and expected to be implemented in December (read : expect an expanded QE).
2) China’s central bank combined a quarter-point cut in benchmark interest rates with a half-percentage reduction in banks’ reserve-requirement ratios, moves aimed at lowering corporate financing costs and pumping liquidity into the economy.
Those 2 announcements above was enough to cause a world-wide rally in equity markets the last week. The only obstacle left seems to be the December announcement of the anticipated increase in interest rates by the US Feds.
If that doesn't happen in December (which is likely), then we would expect a full-blown rally into January 2016.
What could be the ideal stocks to begin cherry picking now in anticipation of the year end rally?
